Complex Injury Solicitor / Lawyer (Catastrophic Injury)

Location: Newcastle, UK; hybrid working with a flexible office location. Part-time hours or other flexible arrangements may be considered.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of complex, high-value multitrack and catastrophic injury claims valued from £50,000 to over £1 million.
• Communicate with insurer clients, provide updates, and respond to queries throughout claim progression.
• Analyse quantum and liability evidence, prepare chronologies, identify anomalies and evidence gaps, and assess medical records.
• Instruct medical experts and counsel, draft witness statements, pleadings, applications, and technical advice.
• Attend conferences, joint settlement meetings, mediations, trials, and court hearings remotely or in person.
• Progress files from receipt to closure using the case management system and comply with SRA Standards & Regulations.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive at NQ+ level.
• Proven personal injury experience, including multitrack claims.
• Experience with litigation, indemnity, liability, and complex medical issues is preferred.
• Critical thinking, quantum analysis, legal research, and strong knowledge of insurance principles.
• Good telephone advocacy, client care, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
