Software Engineer (Microsoft)

Location: Remote or hybrid, UK

Salary: £70,000–£75,000 per annum

What you will do

• Own the ongoing development and maintenance of key business-critical applications.
• Develop Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Maintain integrations between internal business applications and external platforms using APIs and related technologies.
• Provide third-line support for bespoke applications, CMS/PMS customisations, scripts, databases, IIS, and web services.
• Maintain application certificates, secrets, key management, and technical documentation while supporting wider IT projects and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Commercial software development experience with the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, PowerShell, SQL, RESTful APIs, oData, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and business-critical application support.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively within a wider team.

Nice to have

• Experience with LexisNexis Visualfiles or Progress OpenEdge databases.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Pages, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 application development.
• Experience with IIS, web services, application certificates, secrets, keys, and third-party support partners.
