TL;DR
NDT Level 2 Inspector (2nd Shift) (Aerospace): Performing ET, UT, and PT inspections across Airbus A220 and A320 aircraft programs with an accent on complex geometries, advanced materials, and aerospace quality standards. Focus on interpreting inspection results, preparing technical reports, supporting production schedules, and driving Lean quality improvements.

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; onsite 100% on the second shift

hirify.global operates a U.S. commercial aircraft manufacturing facility producing A320 Family and A220 aircraft.

What you will do

  • Perform Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, and Fluorescent Penetrant inspections across A220 and A320 programs.
  • Interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report inspection findings to production and engineering teams.
  • Review engineering drawings and support development of inspection techniques for complex geometries and confined spaces.
  • Prepare inspection reports, mappings, and quality documentation while supporting production schedules and quality gates.
  • Assist with training, resolve quality issues, and help ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Support Lean initiatives, KPI improvements, process compliance, and team blocking-point resolution.

Requirements

  • Non-Destructive Evaluation Level II certification meeting NAS410 / EN4179 requirements in ET, PT, or UT.
  • At least 3 years of experience setting up and conducting tests on parts and materials.
  • Experience performing NDT testing in the aerospace industry and maintaining and calibrating testing equipment.
  • Associate degree in aviation, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of AWS/ASME and ASTM standards, Aircraft Structural and Repair Manuals, and advanced aerospace materials.
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Two or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with an aviation company.
  • Hands-on experience with Olympus EPOCH 650, USM Go/USM Go+, NORTEC 600, or Olympus 38DL+ equipment.
