Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid working with office days Monday–Wednesday

What you will do

• Manage customer orders across industries, with a focus on sheet metal and CNC manufacturing.
• Analyse customer specifications, drawings, and requirements for manufacturability and production risks.
• Recommend designs and materials and prepare quotes based on cost, timelines, quality, and procurement requirements.
• Identify and resolve production issues, coordinating sales, suppliers, and customers on troubled orders.
• Improve supplier performance, internal workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or AutoCAD.
• Experience in technical project management, root cause analysis, and complex problem-solving.
• Strong organisation, communication, collaboration, and deadline-management skills.
