Senior Web Application Developer (Angular)

Location: Manching, Germany, near Munich. The role is associated with an Airbus site and includes on-site facilities; mobile working and flexible working arrangements are available where possible.

What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle development, testing, and deployment of scalable microservices-based web applications.
• Define and evolve software and cloud infrastructure architecture in line with enterprise standards.
• Apply ITIL practices across incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Manage external software development providers and ensure delivery quality and architectural alignment.
• Implement secure coding and application configuration practices that meet IT security and compliance requirements.
• Improve the technology stack, infrastructure reliability, system performance, and developer productivity.

Requirements

• Expert-level TypeScript and modern web development experience with Angular.
• Advanced cloud architecture knowledge and experience designing distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS S3, and AWS Load Balancers.
• Practical Apache Kafka experience and strong MongoDB and NoSQL database design skills.
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent German is required; English proficiency is a plus. Knowledge of German security and governmental requirements is required.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience managing offshore or nearshore third-party development teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD automation with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
