Network Software Engineer I/II (Remote - US)

Location: Remote within the contiguous 48 states of the United States; up to 20% travel to the corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, for in-person meetings.

Salary: $93,750–$175,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop and operate cloud-native systems, networks, and services using GitOps workflows.
• Build and operate network infrastructure and network management systems.
• Design and run systems that scale across data centers, edge locations, and public cloud environments.
• Collaborate with internal application teams to improve infrastructure usability and incorporate feedback.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• At least two years of relevant experience and exposure to designing and building large-scale networks.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, and routing.
• Experience with protocols such as Spanning Tree, OSPF, and BGP, plus firewall policy management.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Python, device APIs, Linux, and at least one major network operating system such as Cisco IOS, SONiC, or Arista EOS.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and remote collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in rail, shipping, airline, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or transportation industries.
• Ability to maintain employment authorization without future company assistance.
