Head of Communications (Life Sciences)

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States; on-site work required

Annual salary: $135,000–$195,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Act as a strategic communications partner to the SCIEX President and leadership team.
• Develop and execute integrated communications strategies with Marketing and HR.
• Lead executive thought leadership and internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Drive change communications, leader coaching, and advocacy for organizational initiatives.
• Manage issues and crisis response, including protocols and scenario planning.
• Lead and develop a high-performing communications team while using data, AI, and advanced communications technologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
• 10+ years of leadership experience, including coaching leaders and managing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Experience in executive thought leadership, corporate communications, product or science and technology communications, and associate engagement.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, financial and commercial understanding, and stakeholder influence.
• Ability to use data and insights to measure impact, solve business problems, and inform decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with crisis and issues management in regulated industries.
• Experience developing and executing change management strategies.
• Experience using technology and AI to optimize communications activities.
• Advanced degree.
