Automotive Technician C Tech (Automotive)

Location: Coon Rapids, United States; onsite automotive service work

Salary: $19.25–$28.93 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate pay model. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for first-time hires.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check vehicle electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance, install parts, and road-test vehicles.
• Assist customers by explaining repair procedures and answering service questions.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. A1–A8 certification within the first two years.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform general automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment requires completion of Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external training and qualifications.
