Automotive Technician

Location: 353232 Kyle Parkway, Kyle, Texas, United States

Pay range: $17.50–$26.30 per hour; flat-rate, performance-based compensation.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries, check electrical systems, and install vehicle parts.
• Perform tire maintenance and repair services.
• Road-test customer and company vehicles.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service-related questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and work carefully in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification from A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
• Employment eligibility verification is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external training or qualifications.
