Technician (Automotive)

Location: Bossier, United States; onsite at an automotive service location

Pay range: $15.75–$23.67 per hour with performance-based flat-rate compensation.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries, parts, and tires, and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and road-test vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle assessments, repair procedures, and customer explanations.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification from A1–A8 within the first two years.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform general automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment requires completion of Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certificates.
