Senior Product Manager - Payments (Fintech)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid with three days per week in-office, on Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional chosen day. Extra remote time may be requested.

Salary: €68,000–€87,000 gross per annum

What you will do

• Own the Consumer Payments product area across debit cards, SEPA Credit Transfers, QR payments, and related features.
• Discover and validate customer problems using user research, product data, market signals, and regulatory insight.
• Lead new payment products from concept through launch, then scale adoption, coverage, reliability, and realised value.
• Own the consumer-facing payment experience and translate complex financial mechanics into intuitive, transparent journeys.
• Write product requirements and align Engineering, UX, BI, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Legal, Customer Care, and Fraud teams.
• Work with card schemes, issuing processors, payment providers, and delivery managers while analysing performance and optimising payment economics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, including at least 3 years in payments, banking, or fintech.
• Experience launching products from scratch and scaling live products.
• Deep experience with at least one payment rail: card issuing, SEPA transfers, or account-to-account payments.
• Knowledge of authorisation, settlement, scheme flows, chargebacks, disputes, interchange, scheme fees, provider costs, and fraud losses.
• Ability to design products within PSD2, SCA, and AML requirements and collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Fraud teams.
• Professional fluency in English is required; Italian is not required.
