Senior Manager, Talent Operations

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid role requiring work from the San Francisco office 3 days per week.

Salary: $162,600–$203,200 USD annual base salary for San Francisco.

What you will do

• Own and execute the Talent Operations Roadmap, including AI interview assessment deployment, global process standardization, approval-flow redesign, SLA audits, and interview training.
• Lead and develop operations specialists, recruiting coordinators, and support staff across multiple offices.
• Administer, configure, and optimize the Greenhouse ATS or a comparable enterprise applicant tracking system, including workflows, approval chains, dashboards, templates, and integrations.
• Improve recruiting efficiency by streamlining interview scheduling, offer approvals, pre-offer document processing, and other operational bottlenecks.
• Ensure onboarding and pre-hire compliance across geographies, including background checks, export control clearances, work authorization, and international entity requirements.
• Provide pipeline velocity, stage conversion, and scheduling-throughput data for recruiting capacity planning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in talent operations or HR operations.
• 4+ years managing coordinators and operations specialists at a scaling technology company.
• Deep experience administering an enterprise ATS, including workflow configuration, custom reporting, and integration management.
• Experience managing recruiting coordination at scale, including 100+ hires per quarter, multi-time-zone scheduling, onsite coordination, and high-volume offer processing.
• Experience deploying recruiting technology such as AI tools, scheduling automation, or assessment platforms, with adoption and impact measurement.
• Experience with global hiring operations, EMEA compliance, localized offer letters, process redesign, and data-driven operational analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting German entity setup and German employment compliance.
• Background in aerospace, hardware, or manufacturing recruiting operations.
• Experience with headcount planning and approval tools integrated with HRIS and finance systems.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar process improvement credentials.
• Experience building a talent operations function from the ground up.
