VP, Chief Information Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Austin, TX; hybrid work with three days per week in the office. Candidates in the Austin or Atlanta metro area are eligible for the hybrid model.

Salary: $240,000–$305,000 annual base salary, with potential variable compensation, equity, and benefits where applicable.

What you will do

• Define and lead the cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance strategy across the SaaS platform, products, and corporate systems.
• Oversee security investigations, incident response, impact analysis, executive updates, and post-incident improvements.
• Direct the design of security systems, identity and access policies, GRC procedures, and secure configurations for a scalable cloud environment.
• Manage audits, compliance assessments, certifications, customer assurance activities, vulnerability management, third-party risk, and security awareness programs.
• Translate cyber threats, regulatory requirements, and customer commitments into actionable security and business plans.
• Lead and develop cybersecurity and GRC employees, contractors, and vendors while briefing executives and board members on security posture and investment priorities.

Requirements

• Proven information security leadership experience in SaaS or platform-oriented global companies.
• Strong understanding of security technologies for cloud-based, microservices-based environments.
• Extensive experience with SOX, PCI, GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps processes and distributed cloud environments including AWS and GCP.
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, Sales, IT, and executive leadership.
• Ability to communicate cyber risk, security posture, and investment tradeoffs clearly to executives, board members, customers, auditors, and technical teams.
