Security Architecture Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York City, with additional locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco; work includes time in hirify.global offices, on client sites, and local or out-of-state travel.

Salary: $138,000–$219,000 annually, plus a 12% bonus target; estimated total cash range of $154,560–$245,280.

What you will do

• Design enterprise security architectures across cloud, identity, data, network, application, AI, and relevant OT/IoT domains.
• Help clients secure AI adoption, including governance, LLM risks, agentic systems, and practical adoption patterns.
• Translate architecture into roadmaps aligned with NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, CRI Profile, CMMC, and industry-specific requirements.
• Lead engagement teams of consultants and senior consultants while coaching staff and overseeing delivery quality.
• Develop reference architectures, accelerators, published points of view, white papers, and external talks.
• Support pursuits, proposals, and client strategy with directors and managing directors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture, security engineering, security consulting, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing security solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP and across at least two of identity, data protection, network security, and application security.
• Working knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and at least one of CRI Profile, CMMC, or an industry-specific security regime.
• Experience coaching teams, developing performance, and overseeing delivery quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills for explaining architecture decisions to engineers, CISOs, boards, and executive sponsors.

Nice to have

• Depth in multiple cloud platforms or cloud-native security covering containers, Kubernetes, or serverless.
• Experience with zero trust rollouts, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and tools such as Terraform, OPA, Wiz, Prisma, Defender for Cloud, Okta, Entra, ServiceNow GRC, or Archer.
• Advanced or architecture-focused certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, TOGAF, cloud security specialties, or GIAC credentials.
• Published research, conference talks, open-source contributions, or active community involvement.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, energy, public sector, or another regulated industry.
