Director Cybersecurity (AI/Robotics)

Location: Full-time, onsite at the Sunnyvale, California HQ

Base salary: $200,000–$260,000 annually, plus stock options.

What you will do

• Define and execute the company-wide cybersecurity vision, strategy, governance, and multi-year roadmap.
• Build and scale security governance, risk management, third-party risk, and compliance programs.
• Set security standards for autonomous robotics, embedded systems, IoT devices, cloud-connected platforms, and field deployments.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to implement secure-by-design principles across robotics and AI platforms.
• Oversee incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, security metrics, and executive incident coordination.
• Build and lead a high-performing cybersecurity team while advising executive, board, customer, partner, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling cybersecurity programs in technology-driven organizations.
• Experience overseeing AI/ML applications in cybersecurity, including threat detection, automation, or anomaly detection.
• Deep expertise in NIST, FedRAMP, risk management, cloud security, network architecture, and Zero Trust models.
• Hands-on experience with FedRAMP and/or Palantir FedStart is required.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or IoT security.
• Background working with government agencies, public safety, or defense environments.
• Familiarity with CJIS and DoD security standards.
• Experience securing AI-driven platforms and edge computing environments.
