Director of Congressional Policy (Drones)

Location: hirify.global Corporate, Salt Lake City, Utah; regular advocacy engagement in Washington, D.C., and across the United States

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Track and analyze legislative and policy matters affecting hirify.global and the uncrewed systems manufacturing industry.
• Lead public policy initiatives at the federal, state, and local levels in collaboration with the Vice President of Policy and Strategy.
• Engage with members of Congress, congressional staff, government affairs consultants, legislators, civic leaders, trade associations, and first responder partners.
• Secure congressional appropriations and identify opportunities involving federal, state, and local grants, DFR programs, and domestic regulatory efforts.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and build broader support for hirify.global’s legislative priorities.
• Manage the hirify.global Political Action Committee and support policy meetings, briefing materials, agendas, and follow-up actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in government, political science, public policy, or a similar field.
• At least four years of experience in a legislative policy role on Capitol Hill.
• Experience with portfolios or committee assignments covering Armed Services, Appropriations, Intelligence, and/or Homeland Security is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong public speaking skills.
• Ability to develop strategy, draft and advance legislation, navigate complex organizations, and build consensus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
