Focus on resolving complex system malfunctions, authorizing temporary aircraft definitions and corrective actions, and coordinating technical decisions with Airbus design offices, flight-test teams, manufacturing, quality, and customers.
Location: On-site in the Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; evening shift

What you will do
- Develop, justify, approve, and integrate solutions for aircraft systems non-conformities discovered during assembly, ground testing, and production flights.
- Perform live on-aircraft troubleshooting and analyze system test data, telemetry, and flight-line reports.
- Support systems engineering across aircraft controls, avionics, hydro-mechanical systems, cabin systems, engines, APU, and power-plant systems.
- Authorize corrective actions, drawing updates, concessions, special instructions, and temporary aircraft definitions while maintaining airworthiness compliance.
- Coordinate complex issues with transnational design offices, Chief Engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and flight-test teams.
- Present technical explanations and represent engineering during customer acceptance and aircraft delivery activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 6 years of progressive aerospace engineering experience.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, systems design, architecture, and integration.
- Experience working in transnational teams and solving complex engineering problems.
- Knowledge of design principles, configuration-management rules, internal procedures, processes, and tools.
- Experience using manuals, including the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, wiring lists, and Illustrated Parts Catalog.
