Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States, with preference for candidates residing in AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, or WV. Travel to operating facilities nationwide is expected at approximately 50%.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 annually, plus bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Lead fleet reliability and asset performance improvement initiatives across biogas and renewable power facilities.
• Reduce unplanned events and production losses through reliability programs and operational performance reviews.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
• Establish mechanical integrity standards, equipment criticality rankings, and spare-parts strategies.
• Support outage planning, risk management, PHA, MOC, alarm programs, and reliability reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years of industrial reliability engineering experience, preferably in RNG, oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, or comparable industrial environments.
• Experience supporting rotating and fixed equipment across multiple facilities handling flammable gases.
• Ability to combine mechanical troubleshooting with long-term reliability improvement initiatives.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% and support facilities nationwide.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States, with preference for candidates in the listed states.
