Reliability Engineer-US Remote (East) (Manufacturing)

Location: Remote, East US; supports multiple manufacturing sites across North America with travel required

What you will do

• Analyze downtime, failure, and repeat-work data to identify bad actors and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Establish asset criticality rankings and use them to prioritize maintenance strategies, spare parts, and improvement work.
• Lead root cause analyses and FMEA to eliminate recurring failures and develop lasting corrective actions.
• Develop preventive, predictive, condition-based, and lubrication maintenance strategies using RCM principles.
• Translate reliability actions into executable CMMS work, PM updates, job plans, and scheduling backlogs.
• Standardize reliability practices across sites, coach local teams, track KPIs, and support lifecycle and continuous-improvement decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of RCA, FMEA, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel across the North American plant network as required.

Nice to have

• CMRP or CRE certification.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, lubrication programs, RCM, or TPM.
• Experience with asset criticality assessments, reliability KPIs, statistical analysis, or multi-site operations.
• Background in process safety management and mechanical integrity within chemical or process manufacturing.
