Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid role based in Lisbon, Portugal; minimum two days per week in the Lisbon office.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a self-service developer platform that simplifies application deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Orchestrate cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources, with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, infrastructure automation, and reusable templates.
• Improve reliability through fault tolerance, disaster recovery, scaling, and proactive incident prevention.
• Enhance platform operations and observability while monitoring platform health.
• Partner with product teams to understand their needs and promote cloud-native best practices.

Requirements

• At least five years of production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience automating workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
• Ability to work from the Lisbon office at least two days per week.
