Lead Platform Engineer - Computing Platform

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of individual contributor engineers, supporting career growth, mentorship, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
• Build strategic roadmaps aligned with company goals and deliver consistent platform value.
• Drive self-service infrastructure capabilities that enable engineering teams to work autonomously.
• Oversee the reliability, performance, and scalability of large-scale distributed systems for high-traffic events.
• Partner with principal engineers and engineering leads to translate business needs into technical strategies.
• Improve cost efficiency and reliability through automation and modern infrastructure patterns.

Requirements

• Experience managing and growing engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship and team dynamics.
• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, including Azure, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD patterns such as ArgoCD and Jenkins.
• Experience with Python or Golang for building tools that support other developers.
• Strong software development lifecycle knowledge and roadmap management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Commitment to security and compliance as core elements of reliable platform engineering.
