Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent - GovCloud

Location: Columbus, OH; onsite commercial construction role

Base salary: $79,200–$132,000 per year. Compensation may vary by city and state.

What you will do

• Support project scheduling and ensure proper construction methods and installation sequences are followed.
• Coordinate project priorities with field staff and subcontractors while maintaining productive working relationships.
• Maintain daily logs, work orders, tickets, and accurate documentation of site activities and conditions.
• Administer quality and safety standards, including subcontractor compliance, incident reporting, investigations, and support for external safety inspections.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities and utilities, and expedite long-lead materials.
• Manage punch lists and the closeout process through owner and architect acceptance.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam, and other sector- or project-specific software.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
