Laboratory Director

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota, USA; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Manage laboratory operations, profitability, annual budgets, staffing levels, and capital purchases.
• Lead laboratory personnel, mentor key employees, support engagement, and enforce company policies.
• Build customer relationships and support sales growth through collaboration with customers and sales teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, SOP, and regulatory requirements, working closely with Quality Assurance and business partners.
• Coordinate operations, project management, customer service, forecasting, analytical data delivery, and on-time service.
• Develop sales strategies, report performance, share best practices, and travel for business purposes as required.

Requirements

• BS in a science-related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of management experience and 5 years of analytical experience or related technical knowledge.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and services, with familiarity with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and DOL regulations.
• Strong customer relations, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, delegation, negotiation, policy enforcement, and operating budget management skills.
