Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Bogotá, Colombia — 3 days working from home and 2 days onsite at Torre Krystal

What you will do

• Develop, configure, customize, test, and maintain enterprise software features and scalable integrations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Customer Support teams on implementation and deployment activities.
• Develop third-party integrations and optimize deployment processes across multiple environments.
• Investigate and resolve technical dependencies, defects, performance issues, and other complex problems.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement analytics, automation, and machine learning solutions when applicable.

Requirements

• English proficiency at B2 or higher.
• 3–5+ years of experience in software engineering, software development, solution engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, scripting, troubleshooting, cloud technologies, containerization, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools.
• Understanding of APIs, web services, networking, ETL processes, and distributed systems, combined with strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with analytics, machine learning, or data-driven platforms.
• Exposure to financial services, banking technologies, payments, fraud prevention, risk management, compliance, or enterprise software.
