Director of Enterprise Architecture (Oracle Fusion)

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom; on-site role in Cambridge, UK. Occasional travel to Abcam’s global offices may be required.

What you will do

• Develop and own the enterprise architecture strategy and reference architecture.
• Lead application rationalization, integration strategy, technology consolidation, and continuous improvement across the digital estate.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on solution design and alignment with architectural principles.
• Implement architecture governance frameworks, decision boards, and technical standards.
• Oversee cloud strategy, modernization, technology lifecycle management, and decommissioning.
• Ensure architecture decisions support security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field; MSc or MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in enterprise and solution architecture within complex environments.
• Proven success simplifying and modernizing large technology estates.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, API strategies, data platforms, and integration patterns.
• Direct experience with Oracle Fusion stacks and Mulesoft integrations connecting standard and bespoke applications.
• Ability to work remotely from the UK and on-site in Cambridge, with occasional global travel.
