Director, Enterprise Data and AI Architecture

Location: St Louis Park, Minnesota, US; hybrid work

Compensation: $172,900–$257,000 annual base pay, with possible additional annual incentives.

What you will do

• Own the enterprise data and AI reference architecture, architectural principles, governance model, and multi-year technology roadmap.
• Design scalable end-to-end data solutions across ingestion, integration, storage, modeling, semantic, analytics, and consumption layers.
• Architect master data management, data quality, matching, survivorship, and golden-record capabilities.
• Define AI and machine learning architecture, including data pipelines, feature management, model serving, retrieval-augmented generation, vector stores, and agentic workflows.
• Lead complex data projects and M&A integration initiatives, managing scope, dependencies, risks, timelines, and platform consolidation.
• Advise executives and lead architecture reviews with Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, HR, and IT stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of experience across data engineering, data architecture, analytics, and enterprise or solution architecture.
• 5+ years in enterprise or solution architecture leadership with ownership of enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI solutions.
• Hands-on production experience architecting machine learning and generative AI solutions, plus modern data stack technologies.
• Experience setting technical strategy, defining multi-year roadmaps, influencing executive investment decisions, and managing technical professionals.
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, architecture review, cross-functional collaboration, and ambiguity-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with M&A data integration and major platform consolidations.
• Snowflake SnowPro, AWS Solutions Architect, CDMP, or TOGAF certification.
