VP of Engineering, Product Platform

Location: New York City, with hybrid attendance 3 days per week

Salary: $375,000–$450,000 USD annual cash compensation

What you will do

• Own the multi-year product strategy for shared platform capabilities including identity, accounts, design systems, communications, media, and developer-facing APIs.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineering managers across multiple platform domains.
• Define platform-as-a-product practices, including adoption metrics, internal customer feedback, prioritization, and service expectations.
• Consolidate fragmented and overlapping systems while maintaining delivery for dependent product teams.
• Shape the external developer experience through public APIs, documentation, and extensibility.
• Partner with product, design, security, data, infrastructure, and commercial leadership on architecture, sequencing, and investment decisions.

Requirements

• 15+ years of engineering management experience, including leadership of engineering teams and development of technical leaders.
• Deep experience managing internal platforms, developer platforms, or shared services adopted by multiple product teams.
• Experience with identity and authentication, design systems, APIs and extensibility, communications, or account experiences.
• Proven ability to consolidate or modernize fragmented systems without blocking dependent teams.
• Strong technical judgment and comfort participating in architecture discussions with senior engineers.
• Executive presence and experience balancing internal customers, external developers, and end-user impact.
