Cabin Engineer I (Contract) (Aerospace)

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; minimum 80% onsite and 20% remote. Travel: 10% domestic and international.

What you will do

• Update and revise 2D/3D cabin models based on manufacturing and design requirements under senior supervision.
• Track customization milestones, engineering changes, project deliverables, feasibility studies, integration plans, and clash investigations.
• Coordinate with stress engineers, drafters, designers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal customers to support design manufacturability.
• Prepare engineering models, technical documentation, reports, and certification data in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify recurring design issues and contribute to scripted and automated solutions for document checks, report generation, data analysis, and workflow updates.
• Participate in design reviews, problem-solving activities, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in design or analysis for cabin, cargo, or system installation projects.
• Essential CAD experience with Catia V5 and strong proficiency with Google Workspace, MS Office, and related productivity tools.
• Basic Python proficiency for automation and technical data parsing; ability to learn web automation tools such as Selenium.
• Ability to write and present technical reports, specifications, work statements, requirements, and other documentation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global cabin and cargo engineering, PDM systems such as TAKSY or PASS-SSI, or aerospace engineering internships.
• Experience with Pandas, Google Apps Script, or Google Gemini tools.
• Master of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or aerospace engineering.
• French, German, or Spanish skills.
