Avionics Test Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Build and commission test systems for avionics systems and associated electronics hardware.
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify testing equipment.
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns.
• Perform testing according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Read technical drawings, cable harnesses, and wiring diagrams, and apply ESD best practices.
• Track work progress against established standards and deliver work on schedule, including support for critical mission milestones.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, testing, operations, aerospace, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience using electronics equipment such as programmable power supplies, DMMs, and oscilloscopes.
• At least 5 years of experience using basic mechanical and/or electronics hand tools.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate, with basic understanding of electrical principles, wiring concepts, and electrical safety.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Product testing experience and familiarity with aerospace testing standards.
• Knowledge of data acquisition systems and experience with C++, Python, Linux, JIRA, or Confluence.
• NASA STD 8739.4, IPC-620, or J-STD-001 qualifications.
• Cleanroom experience and PCBA soldering experience.
