TL;DR
Clinic Operations Manager (Healthcare): Leading end-to-end operations for a patient-facing women’s healthcare clinic with an accent on team performance, clinic flow, compliance, and patient and provider experience. Focus on optimizing schedules and care-team workflows, managing operational metrics, solving staffing and capacity challenges, and maintaining HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards.

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California, United States; assigned to a clinic in Culver City or Silver Lake. The role requires in-clinic leadership and flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead clinic operations, including front desk, check-in, check-out, rooming, staffing coverage, and clinical workflows.
  • Manage, coach, and develop clinic leadership and support teams while overseeing workforce planning and performance management.
  • Monitor patient experience, schedule utilization, visit completion, access, timeliness, and care margin metrics.
  • Partner with Medical Directors, providers, and centralized operations teams to improve care-team dynamics, throughput, and standardized workflows.
  • Resolve complex patient, operational, staffing, and medical-legal escalations as the final on-site authority.
  • Maintain clinic readiness, safety, supply levels, facilities, IT coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinic operations, ambulatory care, urgent care, or another patient-facing healthcare environment.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in an equivalent clinical support role, with the ability to assist with patient care and rooming during staffing gaps.
  • 3–5 years of direct people management experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees or supervisors.
  • Experience managing Medical Assistants, front-desk staff, phlebotomists, patient flow, scheduling tools, and EMRs.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, OSHA, healthcare compliance, and safety standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
