Summer Internship - Cabin Engineering

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; full-time onsite. Must be willing to relocate to Mobile, AL for the duration of the May–August 2027 summer internship.

hirify.global develops and supports commercial aircraft and cabin systems across the full aircraft life cycle, from product development and manufacturing to airline customer support.

What you will do

• Support the design, analysis, and certification of commercial aircraft cabin interior components.
• Participate in engineering improvement and innovation projects involving automation, digitalization, API/web application development, and data analytics.
• Prepare engineering reports, templates, worksheets, presentations, and technical documents.
• Organize engineering data, route documents for review, archive materials, and compile results for future reference.
• Prepare weekly status reports, attend meetings, record minutes, and coordinate with internal or external customers.

Requirements

• Enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year engineering or computer science program; minimum sophomore standing or enrollment in a master’s program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Experience leading student, internship, or university research projects.
• Knowledge of data science, data analytics, web development, or API development, with programming skills in Python, C++, or R.
• Experience with systems engineering and MBSE, plus familiarity with CAD or engineering analysis tools such as MathCAD, Nastran, or Patran.
• Able to interpret technical procedures, engineering drawings, and bills of materials; prepare reports and communicate effectively in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of maintenance repair shop practices, equipment, and capabilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
