TL;DR
Cabin Engineer I (Aerospace/CATIA): Developing and integrating aircraft cabin and cargo interior designs for airline customers with an accent on 3D modeling, configuration management, supplier coordination, and airworthiness documentation. Focus on analyzing clearances and clashes, steering PLM part numbers and BOMs, resolving Final Assembly Line installation issues, and coordinating certification deliverables.

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; minimum 80% onsite and 20% remote

What you will do

  • Support the development, customization, layout maturation, and spatial integration of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors using 3D modeling software.
  • Manage part numbers, Bills of Materials, technical effectivity, interchangeability, and configuration data in PLM tools.
  • Review supplier drawings, interface documents, 3D digital mock-up models, certification plans, test plans, test reports, and design declarations.
  • Coordinate routine engineering changes, customized airline specifications, technical documentation, and presentations.
  • Support suppliers and Manufacturing Engineering by troubleshooting installation issues and non-conformances at the Final Assembly Line and production floor.
  • Track supplier deliverables and communicate technical status across engineering, Stress, Procurement, Quality, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • 0–3 years of experience in design or analysis involving cabin, cargo, or system installation projects.
  • Essential CAD experience with CATIA V5 and strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to write technical reports, specifications, work statements, requirements, and other documentation, and to present related information.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, attention to detail, and effective proofreading ability.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to work at least 80% onsite in the Mobile area.

Nice to have

  • Master of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience with hirify.global cabin and cargo engineering.
  • French, German, or Spanish skills.
  • Internship experience in aerospace engineering.
