Summer Internship - Retrofit Services & Maintenance Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Mobile Area, Alabama, United States; full-time onsite work is required. Relocation to Mobile, AL is required for the internship duration.

hirify.global develops retrofit solutions and provides customer support for commercial aircraft through its engineering center in Mobile, Alabama.

What you will do

• Support retrofit engineering activities covering design, analysis, and certification of Service Bulletins for cabin and systems modifications.
• Develop and evaluate component designs and their integration within aircraft using CAD and engineering tools.
• Assess stress, flammability, weight, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance impacts of design changes.
• Participate in engineering improvement projects involving automation, digitalization, API or web application development, and data analytics.
• Prepare engineering reports, templates, presentations, weekly status updates, and meeting minutes.
• Organize engineering data, route documents for review, and support Service Bulletin review, engineering support, and project management.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Full-time enrollment in an accredited four-year engineering or computer science program; minimum sophomore standing or enrollment in a master's program.
• Academic, research, or internship experience leading engineering projects independently or under supervision.
• Entry-level programming skills in Python or Apps Script.
• Familiarity with CAD or analysis tools such as AutoCAD or CATIA.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication in English.
