Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Operations (Mass Spectrometry)

Location: On-site in Singapore, with recurring six-month rotational assignments in China

What you will do

• Learn and support a broad range of mass spectrometer products, including commissioning, calibration, testing, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Coach test specialists and provide technical feedback to manufacturing engineers on issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot IP-related assembly and testing in a controlled IP room.
• Deliver final-test improvement projects, including cycle-time improvement, labor scheduling redesign, escalation improvements, and pump-down time reduction.
• Support advanced manufacturing initiatives at both sites, including MES digitalization and automation implementation.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, the Quality Management System, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or science, preferably physics.
• Experience with electro-mechanical hardware and troubleshooting using test equipment, meters, and small hand tools.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel to and be based in China for recurring six-month rotational assignments.
• Ability to work without chemical allergies or color blindness.

Nice to have

• Experience in mass spectrometry or the LCMS industry.
• Background in chemistry.
• Laboratory experience operating analytical chemistry equipment, including organic or inorganic analysis equipment.
