Manufacturing Technician 1 (Biotech Manufacturing)

Location: Singapore - Woodlands - NorthTech. Onsite role with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts: 0800–2015 and 2000–0815, with four-month rotations.

What you will do

• Execute manufacturing tasks including equipment cleaning, setup, operation, assembly, formulation, packaging, and finished-product inspection.
• Set up equipment, perform functional testing, and support simple product, process, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Conduct quality inspections and verifications while following cGMP, quality, safety, and work-instruction requirements.
• Process work orders, complete products to inventory, perform kitting, and execute transactions in MES and ERP systems.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas through housekeeping and 6S activities, and support inventory checks, cycle counts, and incident investigations.
• Perform supervised autonomous maintenance and safely use common tools and equipment, including forklifts, scanners, and power tools.

Requirements

• Understanding of manufacturing or enterprise systems, manufacturing IoT, and automation.
• Compliance with cGMP, quality standards, work-safety instructions, and workplace hazard controls.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including cleanrooms, with possible exposure to chemicals, cold rooms, and loud noise.
• Ability to wear required PPE, distinguish component and chemical colors, remain standing for prolonged periods, and safely lift up to 15 kg.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, undertake job rotation and cross-training, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Operations experience requirements range from 0–1 year for NITEC or equivalent to 3–5 years for O-Level or secondary-school qualifications.

Nice to have

• Experience in GMP-controlled manufacturing or production environments.
• Knowledge of automation, IoT, or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• For the Formulation team: science education and experience with biochemistry, biotechnology, chemical manufacturing, enzymes, proteins, antibodies, laboratory instruments, or analytical instruments.
