Manufacturing Technician (Varian)

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electromechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
• Perform electromechanical assembly, troubleshooting, repairs, and process improvements under moderate supervision.
• Receive and audit parts, verify availability, and inspect components for defects.
• Test assemblies with test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps.
• Complete job documentation and data entry, and perform programming, repairs, or software installations when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, lifting, climbing, bending, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certification, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET qualification, including DeVry or TSTC training.
