Location: Singapore, Woodlands, NorthTech; onsite full-time role. Shift engineers must work rotating 12-hour shifts: 08:00–20:15 day shift and 20:00–08:15 night shift.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve optical, mechanical, electrical, fluidics, and automation equipment in a high-volume consumables manufacturing environment.
• Execute preventive maintenance and repair procedures to improve equipment uptime, reliability, product quality, cycle time, and cost.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives, maintain equipment work instructions, and identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
• Lead incident investigations, prepare formal technical reports, and provide technical guidance to shift team members.
• Coordinate and prioritize production, equipment, and supply activities to meet daily production targets and shift KPIs.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers, provide PLC and automation troubleshooting guidance, and develop on-the-job training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a relevant diploma with 8+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience in a GMP-controlled manufacturing or production environment and compliance with cGMP, quality, and safety procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience designing automatic control systems and troubleshooting PLC and HMI process-control automation systems, such as Beckhoff or Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Experience with engineering drawings, procedure writing, technical documentation, training, and basic computer troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in noisy and chemical environments with PPE, safely handle loads up to 15 kg, identify component and chemical colors, work independently, and undertake job rotation or cross-training.

Nice to have

• Experience with Statistical Process Control, JMP, and DOE techniques.
• Good project management skills.
