Maintenance Technician - Food Supply Chain (Industrial Maintenance)

Salary: $31.00–$39.00 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and install production, distribution, and food-processing machinery.
• Repair electrical devices, mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, water systems, and material-handling equipment.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery and programmable logic controllers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, maintain service logs, report major problems, and order replacement parts.
• Maintain building structures and complete minor office and facility repairs.
• Identify safety and compliance issues, create corrective action plans, and monitor adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other government guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or technical school training, two years of technical education, 3–4 years of related experience, or a licensed journeyman skilled-trade qualification.
• Experience with refrigeration, electrical systems, controls, mechanical systems, and general maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics, technical instructions, and diagrams.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to diagnose problems, draw conclusions, communicate technical information, and work safely under equipment-failure conditions.
• Regular onsite work in Eagan, Minnesota is required.
