Technical Designer

Location: New York Design Office; onsite Monday through Thursday with remote work available on Fridays

Pay range: $90,600–$153,100 per year

hirify.global operates proprietary retail brands and develops apparel products through coordinated technical design, product integrity, and vendor processes.

What you will do

• Develop technical specifications aligned with brand identity, construction standards, tolerances, and grading requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Integrity to ensure products meet performance testing protocols.
• Benchmark products and monitor market trends and competition to recommend improvements.
• Resolve fit and production issues while building effective relationships with suppliers and peers.
• Review seasonal samples, present product improvement hypotheses, and manage grading and consistency changes.
• Communicate specifications and sample corrections to vendors through PLM, written summaries, sketches, and photos.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical design, fashion design, pattern making, apparel manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in fashion design, apparel manufacturing, or a related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet scheduling requirements, collaborate effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, standards, training, and dress code requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM and Adobe Illustrator or similar specification and sketching programs.
• Knowledge of textiles, garment construction, pattern making, and grading.
