Women's Technical Designer (Apparel)

Location: HQ - Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York; 100% on-site, 5 days a week

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage the technical aspects of garment production for high-quality, functional women's knitwear, cut-and-sew, and activewear products.
• Lead live fit sessions and cross-functional meetings, documenting fitting comments and actionable pattern amendments.
• Manage grading and tolerance rules while maintaining fit and construction precision.
• Communicate with overseas suppliers to troubleshoot pattern corrections and construction issues.
• Create and maintain detailed tech packs with precise specifications and construction details.
• Adapt to changing priorities, special projects, and fast-paced business needs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in apparel technical design, including multi-product experience.
• Strong understanding of garment construction and quality control.
• Direct experience working with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Knowledge of cut-and-sew tops, fleece tops, and fleece bottoms.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Confident use of Illustrator; pattern-making knowledge is beneficial.
