Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

What you will do

• Build and ship features that improve how specialists manage practices, from patient care through billing.
• Make architectural decisions for Gentu, a cloud platform used by thousands of clinicians.
• Deploy, operate, debug, and improve production software based on real usage.
• Help shape what the team builds and why by contributing to product and technical decisions.
• Use dedicated time for open-source work, side projects, and experiments.

Requirements

• Strong experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, Node, React, and AWS.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and scalable design.
• Confidence challenging ideas and contributing to technical decisions.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and AI agents.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments.
• Open-source contributions, side projects, or a strong habit of building and experimenting.
