Senior Software Engineer (Node/TypeScript)

Location: Permanent hybrid role based in Richmond, Melbourne VIC, Australia

What you will do

• Design, code, test, deploy, and support data products across the full software lifecycle.
• Build and modernise services for property valuation and mortgage risk assessment.
• Maintain existing products through bug fixes and business-as-usual feature improvements.
• Improve system and data reliability, availability, security, scalability, and resilience.
• Investigate data and API issues to diagnose problems and uncover insights.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience owning software products from design and development through release and production support.
• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
• Strong database development skills, including T-SQL, stored procedures, database design, data pipelines, and analytics platforms.
• Experience building ETL systems with Airflow or SSIS and solutions with Node, TypeScript, and serverless technologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, authentication schemes, BigQuery, data warehouses, Docker, build pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with performance optimisation, secure coding, and designing reliable and scalable systems.
