Senior UIR Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Tainan, Taiwan; customer-site work is required for equipment installation, upgrades, testing, training, and maintenance procedures.

What you will do

• Analyze equipment problems, collect diagnostic information, determine solution approaches, and adapt them as new information becomes available.
• Install, assemble, align, inspect, and test semiconductor equipment at customer locations.
• Execute hardware installations, system setups, recoveries, and locally owned field swaps for upgrade packages.
• Plan and perform procedures by coordinating machine-time windows, parts, tools, equipment, documentation, and technical information.
• Drive process improvements, advise and train customers, and support knowledge exchange across teams.
• Coach junior engineers and review their progress across multiple systems and products.

Requirements

• Senior-level work experience as a UIR Engineer or in a comparable technical field-service role.
• BSc degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Specialized knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, semiconductor processes, and relevant software.
• Experience with data analysis, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
• Legal authorization to access technology controlled under United States Export Administration Regulations is required before starting work.
