Senior Principle Foundry Engineer

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan

APAC Central Competence Team works with external foundries to ensure stable chip supply for NXP business lines.

What you will do

• Drive lead-product ramp-up during new technology introduction, process transfers, and new fab enablement.
• Collaborate with foundries, technology groups, business lines, customers, and other stakeholders to qualify and release semiconductor processes.
• Own front-end process safe launch activities and improve manufacturability and yield during ramp-up.
• Lead process development, transfer, and production ramp-up projects toward timely completion.
• Make decisions on process integration, resource planning, project schedules, logistics, and supplier relationships.
• Manage NTI process transfers within foundries and NXP joint ventures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or MSc degree in physics or electrical engineering.
• More than 10 years of experience in front-end IC process integration within foundry production or development teams.
• In-depth knowledge of IC devices and processes, with strong understanding of yield enhancement techniques and data analysis.
• Fluent English and Mandarin are required.
• Hands-on experience leading development, transfer, or production ramp-up teams and projects.
• Strong communication, influencing, foundry-management, and stakeholder-steering skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FinFET and NVM technologies.
