TL;DR
Equipment Application Engineer (Semiconductor/AMC): Deploying, optimizing, validating, and maintaining airborne molecular contamination control systems for semiconductor manufacturing with an accent on equipment applications, data analysis, and customer-site support. Focus on troubleshooting complex equipment issues, conducting FAT/SAT and DOE activities, supporting NPI, and integrating cross-functional requirements for stable system performance.

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; regular domestic and international travel to customer sites is required

Salary: NT$1,629,503.39–NT$2,204,622.23 TWD per year

What you will do

  • Provide technical support for AMC control systems, including customer deployment, optimization, maintenance, installation, calibration, and functional verification.
  • Analyze equipment operating data to identify, resolve, and prevent AMC-related issues.
  • Perform equipment testing, validation, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with process, equipment, and quality engineers to integrate requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, operation manuals, customer reports, training materials, and technical presentations.
  • Support NPI, customer-site evaluations, regular customer visits, and project planning and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, materials, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of semiconductor-industry experience in equipment engineering, process integration, or technical support.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor process equipment, including FOUP systems, AMC control units, and gas analyzers.
  • Experience with equipment validation, FAT/SAT, DOE design, and data-analysis tools such as Excel and JMP.
  • Strong cross-functional communication, coordination, technical writing, and project-execution skills.
  • Effective English communication with international customers; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols, ESD requirements, and safety compliance standards.
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.
