Supply Chain Planner (Retail)

Location: On-site in Japan, split between the hirify.global office in central Tokyo and the 3PL warehouse facility in Chiba, approximately 2–3 days per week at each location.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily operations of the Japanese 3PL warehouse, including service levels, quality, output, turnaround times, and additional labor requirements.
• Manage inbound quality control communication between the 3PL partner and the headquarters QC team.
• Handle import and export processes through the import broker and maintain relationships with suppliers, couriers, forwarders, repair vendors, and other logistics partners.
• Coordinate physical inventory, audits, and weekly reconciliation between the WMS and Microsoft D365 ERP system.
• Collect, analyze, and report delivery statistics and operational KPIs for Japan.
• Support supply chain improvement projects, internal office orders, merchandise delivery, order release, and courier claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain management, management consulting, or business controlling.
• Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, numerical, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple operational processes, coordinate across cultures, and translate ideas into tangible results.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail or the fashion industry.
• Experience with Microsoft D365, WMS systems, PLM, Qlik Sense, or NuOrder.
• Additional language skills.
