ME AIT Team Leader (Spacecraft Manufacturing)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; onsite work supporting spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Test activities in a clean-room environment.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and engage the Manufacturing Engineering production team while meeting schedule, quality, cost, and safety requirements.
• Deliver Manufacturing Dossiers covering standard planning, MBOM, assembly procedures, allocated times, and industrial means specifications using the DDMS toolset.
• Develop industrial plans and Manufacturing Engineering non-recurrent and recurrent cost estimates for EOS and TNS bids.
• Coordinate stakeholders across program business lines, AIT, environmental testing, electrical and functional engineering, RF, and mechanical and thermal engineering.
• Manage cost targets and Estimate at Completion budgets with Program Managers and Finance controllers.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the Assembly, Integration and Test area.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly, Integration and Test within the space sector or another high-precision industrial environment.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams, with strong leadership, communication, adaptability, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency required, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of spacecraft manufacturing, including thermo-mechanical assembly, electrical hardware integration, test setup, satellite final integration, and handling and shipping.
• Knowledge of special processes, laser and DEA optical alignment, tolerance stack-up, MGSE and containers, and clean-room standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with the DDMS toolset.
• Exposure to Earth Observation and Science or Telecom and Navigation program environments.
