Finance Analyst (Biotechnology)

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Lead monthly forecasting support for Product Management, CUSP, and Commercial Technology budgets, including forecast updates, scrap and E&O reviews, and variance analysis.
• Support month-end close by refreshing actuals, reviewing postings, preparing variance commentary, and resolving reclasses, accruals, and unexpected cost movements.
• Provide financial analysis for execution calls and business reviews, covering backlog, sales, secured push-outs, pull-ins, and net volume forecast assumptions.
• Partner with Product Management, Commercial Finance, Controllership, and Supply Planning on inventory reserves and field action topics.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and improve finance processes, including average selling price analysis, cost centre changes, NPI revenue tracking, and process standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, month-end close, variance analysis, or commercial finance.
• Experience in a manufacturing, life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, or industrial environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial data, reporting tools, or ERP and business intelligence systems.
• Ability to convert complex operational and financial data into clear insights, commentary, and recommendations.
• Experience partnering with Product Management, Commercial Finance, Supply Planning, Controllership, or Operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in product management, commercial technology, supply chain, or hardware and equipment environments.
• Experience with inventory reserves, E&O, field actions, reclasses, or margin and discount analytics.
• Experience using or implementing AI-enabled analytics.
