Senior Actuarial Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Fully remote within the Continental United States

Salary: $70,100–$126,200 per year

What you will do

• Perform financial analysis, pricing, risk assessment, and healthcare cost trend evaluation.
• Connect eligibility, revenue, claims, provider, and other healthcare data sources to identify and quantify savings opportunities.
• Prepare and consolidate large relational datasets across varying levels of data granularity.
• Build actuarial models with flexible assumptions and summarized outputs.
• Develop probability tables, premium rate analyses, cash reserve and liability assessments, and data reports.
• Communicate findings to project leadership, team leaders, and executive stakeholders; participate in merger and acquisition analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Actuarial experience and progress toward an actuarial credential are required.
• The combined number of years of actuarial experience and passed actuarial exams must equal or exceed five under the Rule of 5.
• Experience with healthcare analytics, cost trend analysis, medical claims analysis, and large relational datasets.
• Knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
