Risk Business Manager (Financial Services)

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus and retirement contributions.

What you will do

• Support the Co-Chief Risk Officers with strategic planning, daily operations, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Manage projects involving system implementations, audits, regulatory requests, and change management.
• Own the governance calendar and coordinate risk committee materials, board and regulatory reporting deadlines, SOC 1 audits, and quarterly business reviews.
• Track committee action items, metrics, key risk indicators, follow-ups, and deliverables through completion.
• Manage budget activities, vendor and data contract administration, written materials, onboarding coordination, meetings, and team events.
• Lead workflow, tooling, reporting, SOP, and operating-model improvements in partnership with technology and enablement teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience across business management, project or program management, risk, or operations.
• Interest in risk management, asset management, or financial services; investment risk or business risk experience is beneficial.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams, competing deadlines, and detailed deliverables autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical risk topics to senior and non-technical audiences.

• Exposure to risk governance frameworks, risk committees, escalation protocols, and regulatory reporting cycles.
